Problems with UKTV History

In mid-October, some of our listeners started reporting problems with UKTV History on Freeview. This coincided with the addition of a new channel, called Dave, and a reshuffle of the multiplex channels broadcasting channels 12 and 19. The fix is an easy one – you need to rebuild your channel lineup.

To get Dave and UKTV History, you need to rescan the channel lineup on your Freeview receiver to get these channels added to your channel list. After rescanning, you should find UKTV History on Channel 12 (from 7am to 6pm), and Dave on Channel 19 (replacing UKTV Bright Ideas).

    Dear Sir/Madam

It seems that the programmes re Churchill’s Bodyguard and the secrets of world war II have been going for a long time now. Also the Sharpe series.

Is there not something new that you could show as it is all so repetitive. It would however be good to see the programme which went something like “sex, love and war.” That would be a welcome change. It seems that you latch on to certain series that you like and then they are shown to death.

Unfortunately I have been made redundant (since May this year) and spend more time at home so it would be good if you could put something different on that would suit a more wide variety of people.

    Thank you in anticipation.
