Halifax axes cheeky chappie

Posted on 8 August 2008 By FrequencyCast 1 Comment on Halifax axes cheeky chappie

Ahh – how sad – The Halifax has announced that Howard Brown, the smug singing bloke from the cheesy Halifax ads, won’t be singing on screen any more. Apparently, something to do with not wanting to show to show a cheecky chappy at during these credit-crunching depressing times.

Can I stop smirking now?

I, like you are saddened by this news. Such ashame to see a blososming actor removed from such wonderful adverts. I used to wait in anticipation whilst eating my meat and two veg for his smug little face to appear, bringing such joy and laughter into my heart as he coerced with his talking fish and other such oddities. Howard…I salute you and all the very best in your future endeavours. Maybe one fine day we all may be blessed with your presence on screen once more. I’d still like to pound your face in though :D
