The Air Ambulance stations around the UK do an amazing job often under very difficult circumstances – they are also reliant on donations from the public to keep the service in the air. We caught up with the team from the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance service to find out more.
A Day in the life of an Air Ambulance
In October 2014, we were lucky enough to spend a day at the airbase of one of the UK’s charity-funded Air Ambulance services. In show 104, we featured a short interview with the team between callouts. Each mission launches with a pilot, a paramedic and a doctor. We caught up with the crew from Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, based at Earls Colne Airfield:
