Sony Reader PRS-505 Review

Posted on 6 September 200820 October 2011 By FrequencyCast No Comments on Sony Reader PRS-505 Review

Sony Reader PRS-505The Sony Reader PRS-505 was released this week.

If you’re not up-to-speed with what the PRS-505 is, it’s an electronic book reader. It’s been available in the US for a little while, but this week’s launch of the Sony Reader, in association with Waterstones marks the first major marketing push for sale of electronic books in the UK.

This eBook reader makes use of something called e-ink, to draw and display pages in a way very pleasing to the eye, without use of a backlight. The screen has to be seen to be believed. It’s also amazingly power efficient, and an impressive piece of technology.

We hope to be putting together an audio review within the next 7 days – in the meantime, you can read our early review on our new eBook Reader page
